Leisure Field - Recreation Committee

Fairlands Playing Field is maintained by a group of volunteers. The tasks they undertake include:
 

• Cutting the grass on the field

• Strimming the surrounds

• Levelling the field

• Reseeding or re-turfing worn areas

• Clearing dog faeces from the field (why do owners still allow their dogs to foul areas where children play?)

• Controlling moles

• Clearing the ditch and ensuring that the flow is not restricted

• Preparing the cricket square (Cricket Matches)

• Preparing football pitches

The objective of the volunteers is to produce a beautiful environment for the residents of the local area to relax and enjoy the facilities.
